Hotel Karuizawa Elegance

I had a terrible experience with the buzzing noise in our room, which kept us awake. It seemed to be some kind of ventilation issue. When my wife checked at the desk, they told us to wait until morning-totally unhelpful!

Fantastic, convenient rooms provided with the perfect temperature, huge beds and a large window. Marvellous location in Kyukaruizawa district really close to Old Karuizawa Ginza Street, and Kumoba Pond. Also, close to train station & Kyu-Kairuzawa: D

It was a great looking and quaint hotel in a very quiet area, just off Old Karuizawa Ginza Street and restaurants, the art museum and short drive to the outlets and the old town.

Positive, Had a fantastic 3-night stay! The breakfast was a real standout, with fresh fruit and amazing choices. Loved the spacious room with a cozy bed. The location was perfect-close to the station and plenty of restaurants and a scenic lake for walks. Super helpful staff, too 😊

The bus service to the station was annoyingly limited, made getting around a hassle. I had a standard room that was stale and smelled of smoke. The distance to convenience stores was inconvenient, resulting in unnecessary trips back to the train station.

I had the pleasure of staying for 2 nights in a Superior Double Room, Annex, and I was enchanted by the traditional Japanese charm infused throughout the hotel. The location was a serene escape, with a lush garden area that offered a picturesque backdrop for tranquil walks. But without a doubt, the highlight was breakfast-a good array of fresh, locally-sourced dishes, made each morning a feast to remember.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location just a short walk from the station and bus stop. The superior room was spacious and featured high-quality amenities, including DHC toiletries that added a touch of luxury, particularly the shampoo. The check-in process was slow and could use improvements, and I found the carpet in one room to be worn and stained, detracting from the overall experience. The breakfast was a highlight with its amazing selection, including freshly baked cookies, made for a good start to each day.

The spacious room had a cozy bed and daily fresh towels. Plus, the location is spot-on for exploring nearby eateries.
